A few years back Faiella Design had the opportunity to be apart of a redesign & remodel project of a classic San Francisco Victorian. Faiella Design’s role? Well, paint color and furniture consultation of course! It was a super star team that was responsible for this lovely transformation, Andre Rothblatt Architects created a new design for the space including rockstar kitchen & baths. Jeff King & Co. the contractor that made the transformation. Of course, the client, who well he and his partner where just outstanding to work with.

Accessorizing The Console

Consoles are typically found in the foyer or entry of a home but they can also play a big part in a living room or den. A console can be neatly tucked behind a sofa, perfect for a set of over sized vases and flowers. Or try against an odd wall where nothing else seems to fit! The fun thing about consoles is that no matter what room they live in, they are just there, waiting for you to, DECORATE THEM LIKE CRAZY! One of my favorite parts about consoles is that not only can you put items on top like a fashionable pair of lamps (of course) but also underneath. For example, a smart set of decorative stools is always nice. Don’t forget the mirror, a mirror above or behind a console can be the perfect accent to your console ensemble and can make a small space appear bigger then it really is. All these pics have inspired my next console decor project! House Beautiful, Desire to Inspire……..

Faiella Design’s Kitchen Featured in, Better Homes & Gardens

We are excited to announce that Faiella Design has been featured in Better Homes & Gardens spring issue, Real-Life Kitchens and Baths! It’s a great project in a fun magazine so check it out. Some of the highlights in this San Francisco kitchen? A very smart kitchen island on wheels in collaboration with Jason Lees Design, eye catching Angela Adams ceramic tiles for Ann Sacks Tile & Stone, Caesarstone counter tops and Benjamin Moore Paints.

Now if I can just find a local news stand that sells the magazine!

I love the name of this new textile collection by Schumacher, “Sea Island Stripes”, I’m already feeling the sea breeze and sunshine on my face! Schumacher describes this collection as “having a crisp and tailored look that can also go bold and graphic”, I love it. These lovely stripes come in an array of colors my favorite is the citrus & lime green collection! I adore the feel of these organic textiles woven in linen and cotton, oh so soft. Stripes are perfect to mix with other patterns in a room, can go casual or sophisticated depending on the quality of fabric.
